Who are we?
ElegantHorsePictures.com is owned and operated by RCP Inc. The president is me, Patrick M Mooney, and that's my picture up there! But please don't let it prevent you from checking out our impressive inventory of art prints. I'm a horse lover and former groom at Fairmount Park in Collinsville, IL. If anyone wants to call me with questions or orders (or questions about orders), I'll be more than happy to talk to them. I can be reached at 1-866-333-5963, which is a toll free number. You can call me anytime from 8 am to midnight (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays too). 95% percent of the time I'll answer the phone myself. There are other times, such as when I'm at church or St. Louis Rams games, that I have to turn my phone off. If that is the case you can leave a message and I'll promptly return the call.
By the way, if you live outside the USA our toll-free number will not work. This number should work...314-766-8050.

FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)What about shipping costs? There is FREE US Postal Ground shipping on ALL continental US orders.
In Canada, there is free shipping for items totaling over $150. Outside the US and Canada, there is free shipping for items totaling over $250.
If you prefer a different form of delivery, we also offer 3 Day Select shipping for $11.50 (this is for USA only).
Packages addressed to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico are shipped via US Postal Service Priority Mail (free).
Shipments to The Virgin Islands and Guam are treated as international shipments.
Shipping to Canada will be $15.00 (USD) per order.

How are the items shipped? The items are shipped in a durable tube. Some customers have misgivings about their prints being rolled up, but rest assured, once out of the tube, they are fine (we have virtually no complaints!). We recommend that once out of the tube, the prints should be allowed to unroll naturally. Do not force them to be flat. If the prints are not framed immediately, we recommend that they be stored flat to maintain quality.
Can I order over the phone?Sure! Call us toll-free at 1-866-333-5963 (7 days a week-evenings too!) and we will be happy to take your order. Or if you prefer, you can send us your name and address (email too) along with a note detailing the item(s) that you want to order to:
RCP Inc.

When should I expect delivery?Virtually all our products leave the warehouse by the third or fourth business day after you order; many times it’s faster than that. During heavy shopping seasons, it may take up to five or six days to leave the warehouse. After the product leaves the warehouse, standard US Postal Ground and UPS Worldwide shipping times apply, which, depending on your location and the volume being handled by US Postal at the time, is from five to eight business days within the USA, longer for international shipments.
I like the print, but do you have a different size?Limited edition prints are always produced in a set amount and always in the same size. For prints that aren't limited editions, sometimes we may have a different size but most of the time, unfortunately, the answer will be no.
I love this print but I hate that ugly logo on it! Can you do something about that? Many prints on this site display a watermark, copyright, or logo from the publisher which is used to prevent unauthorized copying. This will NOT be on the prints that we send to you.
Can I have permission to use an image that is displayed on this site?Permission must be obtained from the artist. If you don't know how to contact an artist, we recommend that you enter their name into one of the popular search engines such as Google.
How will the charge look like on my credit card statement? The charge on your credit card statement will say "www.ElegantHorsePictures.com"
How about framing? The shipping charges for framed items often exceed the cost of the frames themselves. Quite often customers complain of receiving damaged items. As of now, we are exploring ways where we can offer framing options in a cost-effective way.
How safe is my credit card information? When you buy from ElegantHorsePictures.com your credit card purchase is processed in real time through Ipayment and secure eCommerce servers run by Yahoo.com. Then your order is encrypted with PGP before being sent to ElegantHorsePictures.com. Your card couldn’t be safer! The only way we improve our business is from the feedback we receive from customers, so tell us what you like and what you don't like about us, we value your opinion!
What is your return policy? If you are unhappy for any reason with your items, please contact us first (at info@eleganthorsepictures.com) and we will make refund and shipping arrangements. We ask that you do this within 60 days of your purchase.
What is a limited edition print?Limited editions are just that, limited in number giving the print more value. They are usually signed and numbered. Edition sizes generally range between 500-1000, depending upon the artists wishes. After the editions are sold, no more are ever reproduced.
What is an artist proof?Artists proofs are higher in price than limited editions, although there is no physical difference between the two. Artist Proofs are the artist's personal prints that are given to him as part of the printing - usually 10% of the edition. Artist proofs are numbered differently. If you are not a collector, you would want to save the extra cost and go with the limited edition print. Artist proofs are more valuable if the number is lower. Collecting art prints is a lot like collecting coins or stamps. On face value they are the same but subtle differences like numbering can make a big difference in worth.
What is a canvas transfer?Canvas transfers are made by taking an existing paper print and putting it into a special solution that soaks away the paper. A film of ink is applied that is left to a specially prepared, stretched canvas. These look very much like an original when you put them in a frame. They are great looking and very durable.
What are the advantages of a canvas transfer? They provide a classy presentation with the look of an original painting, without the expense of an original.
Many people prefer the look of the canvas to a print which is matted, framed and covered with glass.
Framing options include nice frames and liners and eliminate the need for mats and glass, enhancing the look of the art even further and eliminating glare on the glass.
Canvas transfers are coated with a protective UV coating which prevents fading, even when hung in direct sunlight.
A canvas is easy to care for: Dusting with a damp cloth is all that is necessary to keep them looking great!
A canvas is sturdy and not effected by changes in humidity.
If shipping is necessary, the canvas is lightweight and inexpensive to ship.
What is a giclée?In brief, it is a high-resolution process that is growing in popularity in the art world. The colors are much sharper than with traditional reproductions.
With the advent of giclée (zhee-clay, French for "a spray of ink") the art of fine art printing has become even more precise. Because no screens are used, the prints have a higher apparent resolution than lithographs. In the giclée process, a fine stream of ink-- more than four million droplets per second—is sprayed onto archival art paper or canvas. The effect is similar to an air brush technique but much finer. Each piece is carefully hand mounted onto a drum which rotates during printing. Exact calculations of hue, value and density direct the ink of four nozzles. This produces a combination of 512 chromatic changes (with over 3 million colors possible) of highly saturated, nontoxic water-based ink. The artist’s color approval and input are essential for creating the final custom settings for the edition.
