Little Lanterns of God was inspired by a song written by Red Steagall and Luke Reed called ‘Cowboy Church.’ A line in that song says ‘the sky is my cathedral and my altar is the ground.’ That line inspired this painting and a couple of others. Bruce Greene would like to show here that this old cowboy can worship indoors or out under God’s Creation.
